Meet Dr Tanya Hartz, Doctor of Acupuncture

For most of my life, I thought healing meant becoming someone better.

More knowledgeable. More spiritual. More accomplished.

I don’t believe that anymore.

Today, I believe healing is the quiet remembering of who we’ve always been beneath the noise, the expectations, the heartbreak, and the ways we’ve learned to protect ourselves.

My own path didn’t begin in a classroom.

It began beside my son.

Watching him face a life-threatening illness changed everything I believed about health, medicine, and what it truly means to care for another human being. That season led me into Traditional Chinese Medicine, but more importantly, it led me back to myself.

Over the last eighteen years, thousands of people have trusted me with their stories.

Some arrive carrying chronic pain. Others infertility, exhaustion, grief, anxiety, hormonal changes, or a body that no longer feels like home.

Yet beneath every symptom is the same quiet question:

“Can I feel like myself again?”

That is the work I love.

Acupuncture is simply one language I speak.

Sometimes healing comes through needles. Sometimes through silence. Sometimes through laughter. Sometimes through asking the question no one has asked before.

I’ve learned that our bodies are astonishingly wise.

When they finally feel safe enough to be heard, they begin telling the truth.

Outside the clinic you’ll usually find me with my hands in the garden, wandering forest trails, baking something beautiful, standing beside the ocean, or sitting around a table with people I love.

Beauty has become part of my medicine.

Not because life is always beautiful.

But because beauty reminds us that life continues to bloom, even after difficult seasons.

If you’ve found your way here, I hope you know one thing before we ever meet:

You don’t have to arrive fixed.

You simply have to arrive.

And we’ll begin there. 🌹
